ESH announces first 2007 grants!

 

We are very pleased to announce the approval of a grant to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bucks County to purchase a computer data base system. We believe the installation of the computer program will assist them in their work for years to come.

 

Our second grant went to Regional Housing Legal Services, Glenside, Pa. RHLS provides legal assistance for non-profit and charitable organizations throughout the Delaware Valley.

The ESH directors have proudly approved a grant to Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) in support of the Mobile School Counseling Program. This grant will fund assistance to 15 school children in Bucks County.

 

Through this program, NOVA counselors, in addition to providing counseling in NOVA offices, will travel to elementary, middle, and senior high schools to provide individual and group counseling to child and teen victims who otherwise would not receive services.

 

Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) is the comprehensive victim services agency in Bucks County, providing services to victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes since 1974.  Services to crime victims and families include individual and group counseling, accompaniment and support through every aspect of the criminal justice system, a 24-hour hotline, school and community education programs, and a number of special projects.  All of NOVA’s services are free and confidential. In this past fiscal year NOVA provided services to over 3,500 victims and significant others.

Delaware Valley College wants to again thank you for your pledge to the Krauskopf Library Improvement Project. 

 

We are happy to report that all of the funds to complete the project have been raised, and construction will begin very shortly with completion planned prior to the start of the Fall 2008 Semester.

 

Fall/ Winter 2007-2008—Pantry Produce Project

Through the support of The ESH Foundation, 35 bushels of fresh local seasonal produce - winter squash (butternut, acorn, hubbard and spaghetti) -were provided to people in need through local food pantries,
